An unseen episode of Challenge Anneka is finally due to hit screens, in which she helps refurbish a cadets' outdated training centre.

Three episodes were broadcast on Channel 5 in 2022, but the fourth never made it to air.

Anneka Rice and her volunteers revamped sleeping accommodation, cafe facilities and the lake access at Luton Sea Cadets.

The episode will air on Sunday at 22:30 BST.

The original series was shown on BBC One from 1989 to 1995, before it returned to ITV for two Boxing Day specials in 2006 and 2007.

The cadets' district warrant officer Martin Brogan stood down as the commanding officer following the project.

"I felt quite honoured to be in that situation," he said.

"Thank you to everyone who contributed their time, to what is now a fantastic unit."

The cadets also ended up with a new mini bus thanks to Anneka's visit.

Mr Brogan added: "We'd love for them to come back and see what it looks like now."

In return, the youngsters designed and made a medal for the presenter.

Since the filming, Anneka has been made an honorary member of the Luton Sea Cadet unit.
