A second man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a stabbing in Birmingham.

A man in his 20s is in a critical condition in hospital following the incident on Middlemist Grove, Great Barr, in the early hours of Saturday.

Police said the second suspect, aged 20, was in custody being questioned. An 18-year-old male arrested on Saturday has been released on bail as police inquiries continue.

Officers from the West Midlands force remain at the scene and detectives are examining CCTV, they added.

The force also asked anyone with information or doorbell or dashcam footage to get in touch.
