Barn fire treated as arson attack - police

A fire which destroyed a barn and about 200 hay bales is being investigated as a suspected arson attack, police have said.
The incident happened between 19:00 GMT and 20:00 GMT on Sunday, when a fire started in the agricultural building on Green Lane near Whitby.
The barn, farming equipment and about 200 hay bales were destroyed in the fire, North Yorkshire Police said.
Anyone with information was urged to contact the force.
