A group of men have been charged after an alleged rogue trader incident led to a police pursuit.

The suspects had reportedly taken thousands of pounds for "unsatisfactory" roof work at a bungalow in West Winch, near King's Lynn, on Monday then returned the next day, claimed they were police officers and demanded further cash.

Norfolk Police apprehended the men in Cambridgeshire, after spotting their vehicle on the A47 at Tilney All Saints, near King's Lynn, on Wednesday.

An 18-year-old from Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire; a 23-year-old from Romford, east London, and two men, aged 36 and 52, both from Luton, have each been charged with fraud, with a 33-year-old from Wickford, Essex, also charged with dangerous driving, driving while disqualified and without insurance, and failing to stop. All five were due before Norwich magistrates on Friday.
