The team behind a huge Remembrance Day installation featuring thousands of handmade poppies is already planning an even larger event next year.

The memorial in Skegness includes more than 37,000 poppies donated from around the world and recently went on display at the clock tower in the Lincolnshire resort.

Organisers said the display in 2025 aimed to be three times bigger.

Tracy Turner, vice-chairwoman of the Royal British Legion Skegness branch, said it would cascade from the nearby Altitude44 ropes course attraction.

Organisers said people of ages ranging between two and 98 had contributed to this year's event, with poppies donated from as far as Hong Kong, Bermuda, Canada, Spain and Sweden.

Multiple volunteers have spent months working on the display at the town's Hildred Centre.

It took more than three hours to build and it will be in place until 12 November.

Ms Turner urged people to "get knitting" ahead of the 2025 commemorations.
