More urgent dental appointments open across Sussex

More urgent dental appointments are being made available across East and West Sussex, Sussex Health & Care says.
It follows a pilot programme tested across both counties.
Patients will be able to book same-day appointments and longer term courses of treatment.
It is hoped all local authority districts will be covered by the end of February.
Nish Suchak, chair of the Local Dental Committee for East Sussex and Brighton and Hove, said: "It is heartening to see how much can be achieved when all parties concerned work in collaboration for a useful service for the local population offering patients NHS dental treatment to get them out of pain and improve their oral health.
"I hope it can continue."
Patients who do not have a regular dentist can access the service by calling 0300 123 1663 or emailing kcht.dentalhelpdesk@nhs.net.
