A key route has been closed after a lorry veered off a road and burst into flames.

Avon and Somerset Police was called to the A358 at Halsway Hill near Crowcombe, Somerset, shortly before 08:00 GMT on Wednesday.

Emergency services are currently in attendance, but police have confirmed that no-one was injured during the incident.

The carriageway remains shut near to the junction with Culverhays Lane while recovery work is carried out.
