A 100m (328ft) long slip and slide in Cornwall is out of action after it was "ripped with a very sharp object", a holiday park has said.
Dan Olford, from East Crinnis Holiday Park in Par, said its Avalanche Slip n Slide will be unusable for the rest of the summer due to the damage.
Mr Olford said the vandalism has been reported to Devon and Cornwall Police, adding it was a "massive kick in the teeth".
Police said the incident was thought to have taken place between 21:00 BST on Monday and 10:15 BST on Tuesday.
Massive financial implications
Mr Olford said the slide had been open for about five weeks, running during the summer school holidays.
He said the local community had "really got behind" the attraction.
"It's been really embraced by all, it's been gaining momentum," he said.
Mr Olford said he was in "disbelief as to why someone would actually do this".
"It's just a massive kick in the teeth to be honest," he said.
In a post on social media, external, Avalanche Slip n Slide said about 80m (262ft) of damage had been caused in 15 different sections.
"We are piecing it altogether and working our way forward at the moment," Mr Olford said.
"We are going to miss out for the rest of the season," he said.
"It's then having to refund everyone who is booked in.
"A lot of kids parties, their children are going to be disappointed now they can't come.
"It's a massive implication for us financially going forward, so are the repair costs."
He said local people have come forward and offered to help repair the slide.
Despite the incident, Mr Olford said the slip n slide "will be back".
Devon and Cornwall Police has asked anyone with information to get in touch.
