Fifty-eight homes planned for Bodmin

Plans have been submitted for 58 houses in a Cornish town as part of a wider proposal to deliver more than 3,000 new homes in the area before 2030.
The new development, if approved, would be built in Bodmin on land east of Pandarosa Farm on St Lawrence Road at the western entrance to the town.
The Cornwall Local Plan, external has set a target to build 3,100 homes in Bodmin between 2010 and 2030, with a further 200 properties to be delivered within the wider Bodmin area.
A design statement on behalf of developer Wain Homes said: “The site will provide much-needed housing with a variety of homes created, from smaller starter homes to larger family homes."
The proposed development of 58 homes, external would have 10 two-bed, 20 three-bed and 28 four-bed houses and include access and highway improvements, drainage, play space, open space and landscaping, the Local Democracy Reporting Service said.
It added that to meet housing demand, the Cornwall Site Allocations Development Plan Document, external had identified six housing sites within Bodmin.
The land at St Lawrence is one of the allocated sites for Bodmin and is expected to deliver approximately 780 homes.
