Boilers, fridges and doors stolen from new homes

New builds, including those on Golden Meadows in Hartlepool, were targeted

Police are investigating the theft of white goods worth thousands of pounds from new-build properties.

Boilers, kitchen units, fridge freezers, washing machines and a door were removed and stolen from the homes in Hartlepool, Cleveland Police said.

Ten reports of burglaries were made between 29 February and 5 April at Spindle Way, Musgrave Garden Lane, Rodney Street, Riverston Close, Vine Close, Golden Meadows and Reedston Road.

Officers said a majority of the properties were empty at the time.

Police are looking for CCTV or dashcam footage of anyone acting suspiciously around these locations, dates and times:

• Spindle Way, Hartlepool, between 17:00 GMT on Thursday 29 February and 07:00 on Monday 1 March, and between 19:00 BST on Thursday 4 April and 07:30 on Friday 5 April

• Reedston Road between 01:00 and 04:00 GMT on Monday 11 March

• Golden Meadows, about 00:50, on Wednesday 13 March

• Vine Close, between 16:00 on Friday 15 March and 08:00 on Monday 18 March

• Riverston Close, between 17:00 on Friday 22 March and 10:00 on Monday 25 March

• Rodney Street between 00:27 and 01:10 on Thursday 25 March

• Musgrave Garden Lane, Wynyard, between 00:00 and 02:00 on Friday 29 March
