Six teenage boys have been taken to hospital after a car crashed into a parked vehicle in the early hours of Sunday.

The car had been pursued by police before it crashed on the approach to the Ford Road roundabout on the A27 at Arundel, Sussex Police said.

The boys, aged between 13 and 15, were found in the vehicle and taken to hospital for assessment and treatment.

One boy, who has serious injuries, remains in hospital in a stable condition.

Sussex Police said it was made aware of an allegedly stolen vehicle on the A29 in Fontwell shortly after midnight on Sunday.

It said officers "pursued the car for a short period" along the A27 before the crash.

A mandatory referral has been made to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC), the force added.
