Police are asking people to check their sheds to help find a missing 18-year-old.

Lewis Penfold-Roche, of Billingham, Teesside, has not been seen since 28 January.

Neighbourhood officers are delivering hundreds of leaflets to homes in Billingham, the area where Mr Penfold-Roche was last seen.

The leaflets are calling on people to check their sheds and outhouses for any signs of disturbance or anyone living there.

'Really concerned'

“It is now one month to the day that Lewis was last seen, and we remain extremely concerned for his welfare,” said Det Insp Chris Pringle, of Cleveland Police.

“I would like to reiterate to Lewis, if he’s reading this, that lots of people are really concerned for him and everyone wants to know he’s safe so please contact police or friends and family.”

The detective also appealed for anyone who has information about Mr Penfold-Roche’s whereabouts to speak to the police.

Mr Penfold-Roche, who is described as having a London accent and being 6ft (1.83m) tall, was last seen wearing a red coat and carrying a white and green backpack.
