Police say no offence by Labour MS over number plates

Labour has lifted its suspension on one of its Senedd members after police said it had found no offence over the number plates on her car.
Islwyn's Rhianon Passmore was suspended on Wednesday night after a photograph emerged of a car where two number plates could be seen, one resting against the other.
South Wales Police said adhesive tape had become defective on her car and the number plate had fallen off. The suspension was removed less than 24 hours after it was imposed.
A Labour Party spokesperson said: "The Labour Party expects our elected representatives to uphold the highest standards in public life."
"All complaints are investigated in accordance with the Party’s complaints procedures."
BBC Wales was told that the suspension had been lifted in light of the statement from South Wales Police.
A HPI check showed that the number plate with what appeared to be adhesive tape on it was the previous registration of the vehicle until earlier this year.
A statement from the police said: "South Wales Police has looked into a report received concerning a defective number plate on a car which is parked within the Senedd car park in Cardiff Bay.
"It appears that the adhesive tape which secures the number plate to the car has become ineffective and the number plate has fallen off.
"The car remains on private property and as such, no offence has been identified. The owner of the car is aware of the matter."
Ms Passmore has been approached for comment.
