A moped rider has died following a crash in Scunthorpe.

The 46-year-old man was travelling along Cottage Beck Road when his moped reportedly left the road and hit a fence, Humberside Police said.

He died at the scene following the incident at about 19:15 BST on Tuesday.

His family are being supported by specialist officers, the force added.

Anyone who witnessed the crash, has dashcam footage or was in the area at the time is asked to contact police.
