Busy village bypass closed after serious crash
The road carries large amounts of traffic to the east of Nottingham

A busy Nottinghamshire road has been closed following a serious crash, police have said.
The incident happened on the A6097 Oxton Bypass on Thursday morning with police sending out a warning shortly after 06:00 BST.
Traffic service Inrix said the crash involved a van.
The road was closed in both directions between Oaks Lane and B6386 Nottingham Road and drivers have been advised to avoid the area.
No details of the vehicles involved or any injuries have been confirmed.
