Train disruptions are affecting services on a section of railway, a train operator has warned.

London North Eastern Railway (LNER) said there was disruption between Darlington and Newcastle on Monday morning.

The line had been blocked while emergency services dealt with "an incident", National Rail said.

A company spokesman said although the line had now reopened, delays and cancellations were expected to continue until 12:30 GMT.
