Views sought on Mytchett canal activity centre
- Published
People are being asked their views on the future of an activity centre in Surrey.
Surrey County Council are consulting on how Basingstoke Canal Centre in Mytchett can be improved.
The council recently took on direct responsibility for the centre, which has a camping site, boat hire, a children’s playground and a cafe.
Marisa Heath, cabinet member for environment at the council, said: “We’re keen to gain valuable input from current and potentially new users to help inform the future services provided at the centre.”
An online survey has been opened and will run until 27 September.
Hard copies will also be available from the canal centre, and council staff will also be on site speaking to users on selected dates throughout the survey period
