Police are appealing for witnesses after the "wilful vehicle fire" in Galashiels

Police are appealing for witnesses after a car was deliberately set on fire in Galashiels.

The fire also resulted in damage to a garage and a second vehicle.

The incident, which did not result in any injuries, happened between 12.30 and 01:00 on 25 August in the town's Windyknowe Road.

Police Scotland's Det Con Liam Myers said: "I’m appealing to anyone with information on what happened to get in touch with us."
