Attempted murder charge following stabbing

Wiltshire Police said they are not naming the suspect for safety reasons

A man in his 30s has been charged with attempted murder following a stabbing in the early hours of Saturday morning, police have said.

Wiltshire Police said the incident happened at a home in Swindon, with a man in his 20s being treated in hospital for injuries not thought to be life-threatening.

The suspect is from Swindon and remains in custody - officers said there is "no further risk to the general public".

The force said it is "not naming the suspect due to safety concerns" and he is due to appear before magistrates on Monday.
