The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning, external for snow and ice across parts of Devon and Cornwall.

The warning starts at 03:00 GMT on Thursday and ends at 16:00 GMT.

Wintry weather may lead to hazardous conditions in a few places, such as Dartmoor and Exmoor.

The highest parts of Dartmoor, Bodmin, Blackdown Hills and Exmoor could see 2in (5cm) to 4in (10cm) of snow, with some drifting in strong easterly winds, said senior broadcast meteorologist David Braine.

The easterly wind will make it "feel more like zero or -1C", he added.

Cornwall Council advised motorists to drive with care., external
