Health officials have warned of continuing disruption to GP and pharmaceutical services in Cornwall following last week's global outage of IT systems.

NHS Cornwall and Isles of Scilly said its services were still recovering from the incident.

It asked patients to wait until later in the week to call or use online services "unless their need is urgent".

A massive tech failure on Friday caused travel chaos around the world, with banking and healthcare services also badly hit.

Health officials in Cornwall said they were working to update systems, contact patients and re-book appointments.

Cornwall hospitals had already suffered a network outage a week prior to the most recent disruption which officials blamed on a "local issue".
