A Cornish mineral exploration company has invited more projects in the region to apply for grants from its funds.

Cornish Lithium's community funds will be given to projects which educate and support industrial heritage and mining history and improve environmental impacts.

The scheme opened for applications on 29 April and closes on 10 June.

Jeremy Wrathall, interim chairman, founder and CEO of Cornish Lithium, said he was "proud to support organisations that benefit the communities where we operate".

Tamara Sherston-Baker, development director of the Cornwall Community Fund, said: “It is hugely rewarding to see how local projects are benefiting from the funding from Cornwall Lithium, which is helping to bring positive change across communities."

She said £17,775 had been awarded to 13 local organisations in Cornwall with previous funding.
