William Tate is re-elected as Alderney's president

William Tate received more than 60% of the votes

William Tate has been re-elected as President of Alderney's States in the latest election.

Tate, who has been president since 2019, was running against Mark Smith in the latest poll.

In a 51% turnout, and out of the 733 votes cast, Tate received 467 votes - about 64%.

He has been elected for a four-year term and is also the chairman of the States of Alderney.

Opposing candidate Mark Smith received 256 votes.
