Wildlife park animals cope with winter weather

A wildlife park has photographed its residents' frosty frollicks and icy challenges during the winter weather.

Cotswold Wildlife Park, near Burford, Oxfordshire, said this week was one of its coldest in recent history, with temperatures plummeting to -9 Celsius (16F).

Some of the park's African animals, such as white rhinos and yellow mongooses, were born and raised on site rather than in warmer climes so are more used to British winters.

The park said all of its animals had heated houses where needed.
