A man has been arrested after a video was circulated on social media of a man suspected of making threats to kill.

Members of the public alerted West Midlands Police to the video.

The 24-year-old man was arrested in Washwood Heath, Birmingham, on suspicion of sending communication threatening death or serious harm, police said.

"We will take swift and effective action against anyone who feels that they can use social media to stir racial hatred or to encourage people to cause violence or take actions into their own hands," a force spokesperson said.
