Plea to check electoral registration details

Residents in Cornwall have been urged to to check their electoral registration details, or risk losing their chance to vote on decisions that affect them.
Cornwall Council said recent home movers in particular should check their details, adding electoral commission research found they are less likely to be registered.
Director of electoral administration and regulation at the electoral commission Jackie Killeen said it is "really important" everybody who is eligible to vote is able to do so.
The council said the annual canvass allows Cornwall Council to keep the electoral register up to date.
Chief executive of Cornwall Council and returning officer for Cornwall, Kate Kennally, said: “Keep an eye out for important updates from Cornwall Council.
"The annual canvass is our way of making sure that the information on the electoral register for every address is accurate and up to date.
"To make sure you don’t lose your say at upcoming elections, simply follow the instructions sent to you."
