Three people have been taken to hospital after a crash on a Bristol city centre bridge.

Emergency services were called to the three-vehicle crash on Plimsoll Swing Bridge shortly before 12:20 BST. One of the people taken to hospital has suffered potentially life-threatening injuries, according to police.

The A3029 Brunel Way was reopened on Saturday at 19:30 BST.

A second crash involving a car and motorcycle in nearby Ashton Road has caused further congestion. Police said no-one suffered life-changing or life-threatening injuries in this incident.

Two lanes of traffic are queuing on the slip road onto to the Plimsoll Swing Bridge/Brunel Way. A traffic sign is showing directions to Weston-super-Mare, Bristol Airport, Bath and Taunton. Trees around the road have orange and green leaves.
