A private school has announced it has been sold to new owners.
The Royal Hospital School in Holbrook, Suffolk, where fees range from £22,000 to £52,000, had been under the ownership of Greenwich Hospital since the school was founded in 1712.
Greenwich Hospital said at that time all of the children were from Royal Navy families, but since there was a much lower number today, it was transferring ownership to Inspired Learning Group.
Deirdre Mills, director of Greenwich Hospital, said it was "proud" of all it had achieved over the years.
"This new phase in the school's journey brings fresh opportunities and investment while safeguarding all that makes the Royal Hospital School such a special place," Ms Mills added.
"I am confident that by joining the Inspired Learning Group, the school will continue to flourish and that its unique values, culture, and community will remain."
Greenwich Hospital said the transition between groups will be "carefully managed" and is expected to be complete by mid-November.
'Excited to invest'
Inspired Learning Group also looks after Saint Felix School, based in Southwold, Suffolk.
Amit Mehta, founder of Inspired Learning Group, said this was a "defining moment" in its journey.
"We are honoured to build on Greenwich Hospital's legacy and excited to invest in the school's future," he said.
"We have agreed measures to safeguard the school's heritage and ongoing support for naval families."
Irfan Latif, headmaster of the school, added that day-to-day operations, leadership and educational provision would continue as normal.
