An amateur photographer who has documented the highs and lows of Hull City FC is to exhibit his work near the MKM Stadium.

Website designer David Jones, who started his project as a hobby, has built up a collection of images which will be shown at the HOi Bar in Princes Avenue.

The photographer said he had tried to catch the "differing emotions" that fans experience together on matchdays.

Hull City on Film will open on 26 April and will run until 26 May.

The exhibition is being curated by Victoria Smith, who is supporting local photographers and artists by showing their work.

She said the exhibition provided an "intimate glimpse" into the world of Hull City, all captured on 35mm film.

Miss Smith said the artist's hobby had "blossomed into a wonderful collection of images that capture the raw, unfiltered moments of fans, celebrations, and the unforgettable energy of matchdays".

Mr Jones said: "I can see all differing emotions from what is happening on the pitch to having a catch-up with an old friend over a pint.

"The beautiful game really does bring people together, and that's the main reason I wanted to document it."

The Tigers are currently 20th position in the Championship and lost to relegation rivals Luton Town on Saturday.
