Three men have been arrested over the death of a man who was shot inside a car in Birmingham.

Raad Asmael was pronounced dead at the scene on Rotton Park Road, at the junction of City Road in Edgbaston, at about 23:00 GMT on 22 November.

A 24-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder, said West Midlands Police.

Two men, aged 25 and 31, have been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

Raad, 27, was described by his family as a "beloved" husband, father, son and brother in a tribute issued by police last month.

Det Ch Insp Laura Harrison said: "Our investigation is progressing, and we have updated Raad's family with news of the arrests.

"It's still really important that we hear from anyone with information about what might have happened or why."

Any witnesses to the murder have been asked to come forward and contact the police.
