A teenager has been arrested after a boy aged 14 was found stabbed in a park in Solihull.

West Midlands Police said a 16-year-old boy had been arrested on suspicion of wounding and was in custody on Tuesday.

The younger boy was taken to hospital, with injuries that were not life-threatening, after officers were called to Meriden Park on Sunday at about 17:40 BST, following reports of a group of youths fighting.

Insp Mark Heard appealed for information and said: "We know that there was a lot of people around at the time, and so, if they saw anything that might help our investigation, please can they get in touch."
