A 33-year-old man has died following a crash between a lorry and a motorcycle.

Avon and Somerset Police said the incident happened just before 08:30 GMT on the A4 Bath Road in Keynsham.

"Sadly, despite the best efforts of paramedics", the motorcyclist died at the scene, said a police spokesperson.

They added: "Our thoughts are with his family and they are being supported by a specially trained officer."

The Bath Road was closed in both directions between the Hicks Gate and Broadmead roundabouts for investigations to take place but has since reopened.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have dashcam footage or information is asked to contact the police.
