A 39-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill after members of the public were threatened with a knife in Peterborough city centre.

Cambridgeshire Police was called today at about 10.45 BST to reports of a knife-wielding man in Park Road.

Officers who attended the scene located the suspect in Cathedral Square.

Nobody was injured in the incident, police confirmed.

The man remains in custody at Thorpe Wood police station while investigations are ongoing.
