Motorcyclist airlifted to hospital after M5 crash

A motorcyclist has been airlifted to hospital after crashing on the motorway.

Emergency services were called at about 08:15 BST to the incident on the northbound carriageway of the M5 between J11 for Gloucestershire Airport and J10 at Boddington.

Gloucestershire Police said the motorcyclist is in a "serious condition" following the single vehicle collision.

Both sides of the motorway were closed to allow the air ambulance to land, but have since reopened.
