A woman has suffered a life-threatening injury after hitting her head on a steel pipe at a music festival, prompting a police investigation.
The West Mercia force said the 56-year-old was pushed by a group, causing her to fall at the Upton Blues Festival in Waterside, Upton upon Severn, Worcestershire.
The incident, which happened at 19:00 BST on Sunday, initially caused the victim's face to bleed but she was later taken to hospital with the serious head injury.
The West Mercia force said it was investigating an assault, and urged witnesses to come forward.
The blues festival took place between 17 and 23 July.
A spokesperson for the force said: "Anyone who witnessed the assault or has any information about it is asked to contact PC Joanne Staunton on 01905 332899 or joanne.staunton@westmercia.police.uk quoting crime reference number 22/62709/24."
