A car hit two pedestrians before crashing into a wall and landing on its roof.

The victims, both men, are being treated for serious injuries, "which are thought to be life-threatening", Humberside Police has said.

It happened at the junction of Spring Bank and Louis Street, in Hull, at about 21:00 BST on Tuesday.

Two men, aged 26 and 40, were arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and other driving offences.

Both remain in police custody, a spokesperson for the force added.

The grey BMW car was travelling eastbound on Spring Bank before the collision.

Officers are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time or has CCTV or dashcam footage to come forward.
