Island Line services resume after train fault
- Published
Trains on the Isle of Wight's Island Line are back in service after an earlier fault.
A problem on a train meant the lines were closed between Ryde Pier Head and Shanklin.
South Western Railway (SWR) said it had been fixed and services re-started at 09:12 BST from Ryde St Johns Road towards Ryde Pier Head.
Half the scheduled services on the line have been running since the start of the year. Under the current timetable, one train runs every 40 minutes.
Under its regular timetable, two trains should run in both directions every hour.
