Wolves fans are being offered the opportunity to get "a completely new outlook" on the club's stadium by abseiling from the top of a stand for charity.

Over 18s will be able to descend about 25m (82ft) from the Billy Wright Stand on 7 September.

It will be the first time an abseil at the stadium has been held for the club's official charity, the Wolves Foundation.

The entry fee of £30 includes two spectator tickets, with all participants asked to raise a minimum of £100 to help the foundation.

The foundation said it was "always keen to try and add new events to our portfolio which appeal to as many supporters as possible".

Foundation fundraising executive Laura Cahill said: "This will give fans a completely new outlook on Molineux – literally – by enjoying some fantastic views not just of the stadium but the whole city."

All funds raised will go towards its work delivering about 50 projects supporting people in areas including education and skills, and health and wellbeing.

The charity said the abseil was being delivered under guidance from Redpoint, "whose staff boast expertise in organising sponsored abseils going back over 20 years".

The event will take place between 08:30 and 16:30 BST.
