Prison boss steps down after three years

Jersey's prison governor has stepped down after almost three-and-a-half years, the Justice and Home Affairs Department says.
Officials said Susie Richardson, who was announced as governor in February 2021, had provided "dedicated service" to both the government and the prison.
They said the deputy governor would continue to provide leadership over the prison service during any potential recruitment process.
Home Affairs Minister Mary Le Hegarat thanked Ms Richardson for her "loyal service".
“I and my team would like to thank Susie for her loyal service as prison governor, for her commitment and contribution, and that of her family, to the island and its community," Deputy Le Hegarat said.
"We wish her all the very best for the future.”
HMP La Moye can hold up to 200 inmates, but usually had an average of 140 prisoners at one time, the government's website said, external.
