Professional quizzer Anne Hegerty has said she wants to star in a James Bond film after making her on-screen acting debut.
The Chase star, who lives in Watford, plays nosey neighbour Barb in Exorcising Barry, a 17-minute short film that had its first screening on Tuesday at the Genesis Theatre in London.
She told BBC Three Counties Radio: "I like an action movie, not that I'm very good at action but I can be the person that sits behind the desk and tells everybody to go out.
"I'd love to be in the next James Bond film, I'd love to be in the MCU [Marvel Cinematic Universe], anything like that."
Despite her dreams of silver-screen stardom, she promised she would not be giving up her role on the ITV quiz show and said: "The Chase always comes first with me."
"I've always been interested in cinema since I was a child, so anybody that has anything to offer will be absolutely fine," she added.
Exorcising Barry was filmed in Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire, and follows two friends who stage an exorcism.
"I'm the nosey next-door neighbour who is trying to figure out what's going on... I keep popping up over the fence.
"We had the screening on Tuesday and everybody laughed, which is the idea, so I'm hoping people will like it".
The 66-year-old said: "It's the first time I've done any cinema acting, it was brilliant, I'd love to do more."
Known on her quiz show as The Governess, she explained she was offered the film role after doing a pantomime in 2022 with actor Joshua Ford, a co-producer and co-star of Exorcising Barry.
Ford said: "She's an absolute delight to be around and took no time at all embedding herself into the playful nature of the film.
Writer and co-director Mark Kuczewski said: "Working with Anne on Exorcising Barry was an absolute pleasure.
"She brought such enthusiasm and energy to the set, always full of fresh ideas and ready to collaborate.
"It was clear she was genuinely excited to be part of the project and her passion really came through in the final film."
