Three men have been arrested after disorder in the stands at a children’s football match.

Police were called to Boldmere St Michaels FC in Sutton Coldfield on Sunday morning and the club later said an incident had “spilled into the stands” at an under-10s fixture.

West Midlands Police said on Tuesday that three men, two aged 36 and one aged 34, had been arrested on suspicion of affray.

One of the 36-year-old suspects was released on bail with strict conditions, while the other two men remain in custody.

The force added that no injuries were reported in Sunday’s disorder.
