Murder arrest following suspected hit-and-run

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following a suspected hit-and-run.

Ryan Griffiths, 29, died on 21 August, two days after being struck by a car on Burleigh Road in Merridale, Wolverhampton.

A police investigation was launched, including door-to-door inquiries and a review of dashcam and doorbell footage.

The West Midlands force said a 26-year-old man had been taken into custody for questioning but the inquiry remained active and anyone with any information should contact officers.
