A scrapyard in Cobridge, Stoke-on-Trent was on fire on Thursday night

Multiple fire engines were deployed to a scrapyard in Staffordshire last night, the fire service has said.

In total, six crews were sent to the scene in Cobridge, Stoke-on-Trent, some time before 20:30 BST.

At the time of the incident, a Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Please avoid the area, and if you are local to the area, close all windows and doors as a precaution."
