Roadworks warning as slip road to close for months

The B4008 Bristol Road in Hardwicke will be closed at the A38 flyover

A busy slip road is to shut for more than four months as part of "major works" to ease congestion near a new housing estate.
The B4008 Bristol Road in Hardwicke, Gloucester, will be closed at the A38 flyover from 9 June to 31 October.
Gloucestershire County Council said the closure will allow a new junction to be built at the Hunts Grove estate.
"A diversion will be in place along the A38 and joining Bristol Road at the Cole Avenue junction," said Cllr Joe Harris, cabinet member for highways maintenance.
When it is completed, the new junction will connect Hunts Grove with the A38 and B4008.
It comes after plans for 620 houses and a new school were proposed as part of the extension of the Hunts Grove development on the border of Gloucester and Stroud.
