The family of a great-grandmother and former nurse who died after being hit by a van in South Yorkshire have called her an "exceptional" person.
Elaine Hodgson, 84, was struck by a silver Ford Transit on Woodhouse Green, Thurcroft, Rotherham, at about 20:00 GMT on 22 January, and later died.
In a statement, her family said: "Our mum, grandma and great-grandma was an exceptional and strong-minded individual who dedicated 45 years of her life to nursing."
South Yorkshire Police appealed for witnesses and those with dashcam or CCTV footage to get in contact.
She cared for "countless patients" during her career, they said, offering her "expertise and passion" throughout.
"Her commitment to her family and friends, particularly her great-grandchildren, was unwavering and unquestionable, reflecting her profound love and devotion for them," they added.
