Police said a man in his 40s was injured during an assault on Fegen Road in Plymouth

A man sustained a broken collar bone and facial injuries when he was attacked on a street in Plymouth, police say.

Devon and Cornwall Police said the incident happened at about 21:00 GMT on 3 December on Fegen Road and the victim, a man in his 40s, was taken to hospital.

The force said a 40-year-old man from Leicester was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and had been released on bail pending further inquiries.

Officers said they were keen to speak a man who was wearing dark clothing thought to have witnessed the assault. Anyone else who witnessed the incident has been asked to contact police.
