Taxi driver charged after four pedestrians hit in Glasgow

A taxi driver has been charged with road traffic offences after his black cab hit a group of pedestrians in Glasgow city centre.

Four people were taken to hospital after the incident on Union Street at the junction with Gordon Street on Saturday 5 October.

Three women, one aged 60 and two aged 61, were taken to hospital for treatment. A 50-year-old woman was checked at the scene by paramedics.

The 62-year-old taxi driver was also taken to hospital. Police Scotland said he would appear in court at a later date.
