Appeal after man and woman die in A18 crash

A man and woman have died in a car crash on the A18 in North Lincolnshire.

A green Ford Fusion was travelling eastbound towards Melton Ross when it was believed to have been in a collision with a blue Saab at about 17:45 BST on Sunday.

The driver and passenger of the Ford, an 86-year-old man and 72-year-old woman, died at the scene.

The driver and passenger of the Saab were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The families have been informed and are being supported.

Police have asked anyone who may have witnessed the collision or have any dashcam or CCTV footage of the incident to get in touch.
