Three people had to be rescued when a boat caught fire off the coast of Brixham on Monday.

The HM Coastguard said its helicopter from St Athan was sent to the scene after being contacted at about 20:15 GMT, with Torbay and Exmouth RNLI lifeboats also attending.

All three persons on board were accounted for and recovered to safety, the Coastguard added.

It was continuing to monitor the vessel which is set to be towed to a safe location, a spokesperson said.
