Man arrested over theft of 3,500 bottles of wine

Police investigating the theft of more than 3,500 bottles of wine from a vineyard in Kent have arrested a man.

The 27-year-old, who officers said was from Romford in Essex, was detained at Heathrow airport.

He was about to board a flight to Latvia, police said.

The break-in, at Church Street, Shoreham, near Sevenoaks, happened between 25 and 26 August, with wine worth £106,000 stolen.
